Concrete Stain Removal

The terms cement and concrete are often used interchangeably; however, cement is actually an ingredient of concrete. It is a fine, powdery substance made from natural materials such as limestone, clay or shale, which, when mixed with water, forms a past that holds the aggregates that make up the balance of the concrete together. Those aggregates are usually a mixture of sand and gravel or crushed stone. Through a process called “hydration”, the cement and water harden and bind the aggregates into a rocklike mass which gets harder as it gets older.

Although many of us refer to “cement” driveways or sidewalks, and call the big mixing truck a “cement” mixer; those terms aren’t actually correct. It’s all concrete! But no matter what we call it, when stuff gets spilled on it, it stains!
